Honeymoons And Luxury Holidays In Mauritius
Friday, 30 May 2008
By Daniel Millions

I think the famous Mark Twain described the island of Mauritius well when he described it as "heaven on earth".

If you are looking for somewhere different to spend time with your new partner then a honeymoons Mauritius holiday seems to be the perfect solution. This island located in the Indian Ocean just above the Tropic of Capricorn is becoming extremely popular with newlyweds from around the world.

Here they can spend time together getting to know one another and enjoying all that the island has to offer. In fact they may find themselves becoming completely overwhelmed by the sights, sounds and smells that this island paradise has to offer.

Certainly this is one of the most romantic destinations that a young couple can go to and spend time enjoying each other's company. There is plenty of accommodation on the island to select from and where you stay will depend upon your budget.

When it comes to which is the best time of year to visit this tropical paradise because the weather is reasonable throughout the year you could visit at about just anytime you want. However, between July

Volunteer in South Africa- History in The Making
Friday, 30 May 2008
By Moe Tamani

In some ways South Africa is different from the rest of Africa as there is less poverty and strife here. South Africa is home to some of the most spectacular game reserves and landscapes. Considered as the adventure capital of the world, South Africa offers many pleasures from the Gold Reef city in Johannesburg to hiking across the scenic route of N12.

It is known as the rainbow nation and has a diverse range of activities to offer and places to see. One of the most popular destinations in South Africa is the Kruger National Park, which is the icon of African Safari.

The Kruger National park is home to several lion prides, herds of wild elephants and thousands of other small and bid animals and birds. From spotting the elusive leopard at Sabi Sands to watching the lion pride enjoy a meal in the Mala Mala, this national park is one fairy tale ride. The Sun City and the Garden route are two attractions that you can afford to miss. The garden route is a natural theme park that is home to Dolphins and whales and if you are lucky enough,

Wednesday, 28 May 2008
By Thomas Pretty

Many people dream of being paid to travel the world but this is a misconception held by many idealistic characters. In reality, while there are jobs out there that involve a great deal of travel, nobody in their right mind is going to pay you simply for travelling around the world on an endless holiday. If you don't mind undertaking jobs during your travel, it is advisable to study the many career paths that give the opportunity for travel as well as earning. So if you are interested in seeing the world and getting paid for it, read on.

One of the most common jobs of those abroad is to teach English to native populations. Finding A Car Hire Company, A Balance Of Cost And Service
Tuesday, 27 May 2008
By Thomas Pretty

Car hire can be a confusing experience at the best of the times. The reams of paperwork are the first factor to consider; in some cases these procedures can seriously slow you up meaning less time to enjoy yourself on holiday. With so many options today in the car hire market, it is understandable that consumers are often befuddled. Here is a brief presentation of tips and hints that should make your experience easier and cheaper.

The most important advice to those wishing to use a hire car is to book the car in advance. Like the majority of travel services, early booking will result in considerable discounts. It is the case that a number of companies will in fact increase the hire rates when there is a high demand, such as the peak tourist period or festivals. Hence, by booking in advance, you should be able to gain a discount and protect yourself from the increased rates at peak times. It is worth studying the car hire company's cancellation policy in detail as this will come into effect should you have to cancel your hire car. Cancellation however rarely carries a charge unless

Finding The Best Home Business Opportunity? Forget it
Tuesday, 27 May 2008
By Ranju Kumar

Are you planning to start a Home Business? One of the biggest challenges a home-based business faces is in the way it should advertise and market. You know that no one is going to look over your shoulder or check if you are getting the job done. You have to motivate and organize yourself.

So many people have tried to build wealth for themselves and their families in the traditional way by home business. And many of them have realized that this is the best way to go. These days, as in the past, the way to create wealth is to be a business owner.

In the home business we all know that traffic is our business. Without massive amounts of visitors we don't stand a chance of making enough sales to build a successful online business. So the repeated question is always "How do you drive traffic to your website?"

Working from home is not as easy as it sounds, and those who do so have to make that extra effort to stay motivated. Depending on the knowledge and skills you want to pass on, the

Why Medical Travel Insurance is a Good Idea
Monday, 26 May 2008
By Amy Nutt

When you head out on a vacation, particularly outside the country, it is highly recommended that you purchase medical travel insurance. You certainly aren't expecting to get hurt, but if something does happen, you want to be sure that you get the best care, without having to worry about the medical costs.

There are plenty of benefits to having medical travel insurance, and the fact is that it is usually so cheap that you shouldn't even have to wonder about it. Just get it and be protected. Here are a few of the benefits:

Get better medical care. If you are in a car accident while traveling, you will need medical attention. Not every country has the same system, so you might be sent to a free hospital or clinic if you haven't got enough money on you. These places are notorious for doing poor work and even killing their patients! This way, your medical travel insurance covers everything and you will be sent to a good hospital, no matter what country you are in.

Avoid "foreigner" fees. Depending on what country you are in, you may be charged extra simply because

ABTA Says Travel Insurance Costly But Essential
Sunday, 25 May 2008
By Abbi Rouse

The Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) has said that while purchasing travel insurance may be viewed as an additional expense for those planning already expensive holidays, taking out adequate protection is an essential course of action for those booking a trip away.

According to Sean Tipton, press officer at the organisation, travelling abroad either on business or pleasure without first taking out insurance would be "extremely foolish". He added that the risks associated with travel would be magnified for those who planned to take adventurous breaks.

For those who are already struggling with the costs of travel, Mr Tipton asserted that while a saving of 30 or 40 pounds could be made, uninsured travellers could end up being forced to sell their house to cover the costs of medical expenses in the event of an accident. Consumers eager to ensure that they travel in safety may wish to consider taking out a personal loan to meet the full costs of taking a dream holiday while protecting against nightmare scenarios.

"The worst case scenario is that if you broke your leg skiing in America and you didn't have insurance then you would be

Why Provides International Travel Safety Information For Students?
Sunday, 25 May 2008
By Sumit. K. Sharma

As the time approaches for spring or summer breaks, many college students are getting ready for that much anticipated trip abroad. Most will have a safe and enjoyable adventure, but for some the trip will become a nightmare. A number of vacations are ruined by one or more of the following: drugs, alcohol, and disorderly behavior.

Each year, more than 2,500 American citizens are arrested abroad -- about half on narcotics charges, including possession of very small amounts of illegal substances. A drug that is legal in one country may not be legal in a neighboring nation. Some young people are victimized because they are unaware of the laws, customs, or standards of the country they are visiting.

Besides drugs, alcohol can also cause trouble for U.S. citizens traveling abroad. Students have been arrested for being intoxicated in public areas, for underage drinking, and for drunk driving. Some young Americans go abroad assuming that local authorities will overlook such conduct. Many believe that they are immune from prosecution in foreign countries because they are American citizens. The truth is that Americans are expected to obey all of the laws of the countries

View from the Right Seat of an Otter
Saturday, 24 May 2008
By Dan Pimentel

Each time I travel on business or pleasure, I seem to always try and find something to do for fun that involves airplanes. A trip to Seattle recently was no exception.

As I stood on the Marriott Residence Inn's balcony overlooking scenic Lake Union, a unmistakable sound began reverberating across the marinas below. What made me grin widely was the wonderful sound of a large radial engine pulling a beautiful yellow and white De Havilland Beaver seaplane off the lake. To me, it was like going to the symphony.

The seaplane airline - Kenmore Air - offers one of the finest views of Seattle, Victoria and the San Juans you can find. Their sightseeing flights fill up, so when I called, I told them I was a pilot/writer and was eager to take my first seaplane ride and then write about the experience here. Kenmore's Lake Union Supervisor found a way to accommodate me by slipping me into the right cockpit seat of their afternoon multi-stop run from their busy Lake Union Terminal to Friday Harbor on San Juan Island and then on to Deer Harbor and West Sound on Orcas Island. It was

YOU HAVE A TRAVEL ACCESSORIES
Friday, 23 May 2008
By gennew2

No matter what anyone says you cant travel without some kind of accessory. Whether it be suitcases, suit bags, brief cases or money pouches you will always carry some kind of travel accessory with you.

The travel accessories say a lot about the life and personality of the person carrying them. Depending on the style and color of their travel accessories, and indeed what particular accessories they are carrying, you can gain insight into what country they are from, whether they are happy, outgoing and energetic or rather old fashioned, whether they are well off financially or have little money to spare and a myriad of other details.
The buying team at Mori Luggage and Gifts recently returned from the Travel Goods Show in Washington, D.C. - the largest exhibition of travel accessories and leather goods in the world. For three days, buyers walked the aisles seeking the hot new trends in luggage, briefcases and travel accessories.

President of Mori Luggage and Gifts, John Mori, said the Travel Goods Show was an excellent opportunity to network with other businesses who also manufacture travel accessories.

Stonehenge; A Brilliant Tourist Destination
Thursday, 22 May 2008
By Thomas Pretty

There are few historical sites in the world that can instil as much mysticism and wonder as Stonehenge. This majestic monument has inspired visitors for millennia, from Bronze Age journeymen through to the contemporary tourist. Stonehenge remains as one of the most recognisable attractions worldwide, along with the statue of liberty and the Taj Mahal, a glimpse is enough to give recognition of the location and site.

Stonehenge is believed to have been built in three stages; the timescale of this construction is simply staggering. Current estimates have the construction period taking thirty million man hours, a feat that would not be matched today in an era of flat pack housing and quick builds. The work to build Stonehenge is believed to have spanned around three thousand years although some believe the site was used as much as six and a half thousand years ago.

The ritual significance of Stonehenge is hard to dispute; its location on Salisbury Plain is an ideal location for the solstice and other ritual festivals. The uses of Stonehenge are difficult to ascertain. The culture that constructed the site had no written language; subsequently the theories that

The Facts About Yellow Fever
Thursday, 22 May 2008
By Alisha Dhamani

Yellow fever also called yellow jack, black vomit or sometimes American Plague is an acute viral disease. As of 2001, the World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that yellow fever causes 200,000 illnesses and 30,000 deaths every year in unvaccinated populations.

Yellow fever begins suddenly after an incubation period of three to five days. In mild cases only fever and headache may be present. The severe form of the disease commences with fever, chills, bleeding into the skin, rapid heartbeat, headache, back pains, and extreme prostration. Nausea, vomiting, and constipation are common.

Jaundice usually appears on the second or third day. After the third day the symptoms recede, only to return with increased severity in the final stage, during which there is a marked tendency to hemorrhage internally; the characteristic coffee ground vomits contains blood. The patient then lapses into delirium and coma, often followed by death. During epidemics the fatality rate was often as high as 85%. Although the disease still occurs, it is usually confined to sporadic outbreaks.

There is no true cure for yellow fever, therefore vaccination is important. Treatment is symptomatic and supportive only. Fluid replacement, fighting hypotension and

The Luxury Travel Secret
Tuesday, 20 May 2008
By M. J. Bacch

The discrepancy between a normal trip and a luxury vacation goes far beyond the cost. Luxury rooms at a four or five star resorts in comparison to a regular hotel rooms are, well there is almost no comparison. For one thing the rooms are usually much larger at a luxury resort. Actually, many luxury resorts are more like a small apartment in comparison to a regular hotel room. Many times you may even enjoy multiple bedrooms with a living area dinning area and a full kitchen. I cannot think of anyone who has gone on a luxury vacation who was not really impressed.

So why doesnt everyone go on a luxury vacation? Well, the simple fact that the expense can sometimes be far more than most people can afford. That is probably the obvious reason why families dont up the anti on their next vacation. Luckily there is a solution to the price challenge.

A membership with The Luxury Travel Advantage will allow anyone to stay in a four and five star resort location for a mere fraction of the normal expense. In fact owning this membership can save families

When to Buy Travel Insurance
Saturday, 17 May 2008
By Amy Nutt

Buying travel insurance is something that should definitely be on your to do list, before you leave on your trip. It's no good buying it at last minute, since many insurance policies take a little time to kick in and there is a risk that you will just completely forget with everything else that you need to get done before a big trip. There are a number of other reasons to buy your travel insurance early.

One very good argument for buying your travel insurance when you first book your trip is that if something should happen to prevent you from going and your tickets have to be canceled, you can recover the cost, which is often quite a bit more than the cost of trip insurance. There are plenty of reasons why you may need to cancel your travel plans. For example, a death in the family, weather (such as a hurricane right in the path of your cruise!), or a business emergency can all cause cancellations. With travel insurance, this just won't be a big deal.

Since you can buy both your plane or cruise tickets online as well as travel insurance,

Cities To Avoid If You Got Allergies
Monday, 12 May 2008
By Alisha Dhamani

Allergies affect over 50 millions Americans which add up to 14 million doctors office visits, and 100 million lost work days each year.

Last year lot of people had to make multiple runs to the drug store to buy an allergy medication and still couldnt stop sneezing. Well guess what, there is reason for that. Allergists are blaming this on climate change which caused trees that would normally bloom over the time of month to pollinate all at once.
Individuals living in Lexington, Ky., here is worrisome news for you, Lexington has been ranked the most challenging place to live with spring allergies by asthma and allergy foundation of America.

Travel On A Budget - Stay At Hostels
Saturday, 10 May 2008
By Kenneth Scott

You might think of hosteling as something that college students do while traveling through Europe for the summer. However, hosteling is not just for the college crowd anymore, and now includes people of all ages and backgrounds. If you are a traveler on a budget, staying at a hostel can be an adventure that will add to your travel experience.

Staying in a hostel will not be everyones cup of tea, and many travelers would prefer to spend the money on a traditional hotel. Hostel traveling is best suited to those traveling alone, or to young people traveling in groups. Hostels are not really recommended for families traveling with young children. In fact, many hostels do not accept children under a certain age.

Most hostels are set up like dormitory rooms, with several bunk beds arranged in the room, with anywhere from four to ten bunks per room. Each traveler is assigned a specific bed upon check-in.

Nearly all of the hostels in the United States group their accommodations according to gender, with the female guests in one section of rooms and the male guests in another.

By Albert Alexander

If you are harboring thoughts of bringing the family for a Las Vegas vacation, then perhaps you should seriously consider a stay at Excalibur Hotel and Casino. This hotel will have you feeling as though you've stepped into the fairy tales of your childhood. From the moment you cross the threshold from the outside world to the charmed existence of life in the hotel you will find that you have truly been charmed and are leading a somewhat enchanted existence.

Not only is there the magnificent casino to enjoy, there is also the wonderful pool, links golf, the castle walk for your shopping pleasure, and the midway where you can play all kinds of fun and exciting arcade and carnival games. Perhaps one of the most memorable and impressive of offerings is the Tournament of Kings dinner show. This show is offered nightly at 6:00 and 8:30 and you will eat in the manner of those in medieval times, without utensils while watching the evil wizard Mordred as he invades the evening festivities. This show is quite enjoyable and relies heavily upon audience participation.

Dining in the hotel and casino can be quite

Getting Around In New York City
Thursday, 01 May 2008
By Rachel Yoshida

If you are not accustomed to big city life and you are planning on taking a business trip or a vacation into New York City, then you may not be at all prepared for knowing how to get around a place like this. Just as you plan where you will stay and your itinerary of places to visit, you will also need to plan exactly how it is that you will be getting to and from these places.

If you stay downtown in the city near Times Square and you have plenty of money to spend, then getting a cab might not be so bad. If you are going to stay somewhere a little further away from the center of town, then you might have to plan a little more carefully. You can rent a car, but if you have never been driving in such a congested and unfamiliar area, this could turn your sightseeing day into a nightmare. You might want to consider other options.

Taking the local city buses might be alright with you, but even the schedules can be complicated and the routes that they take might get a little confusing.
